TechSafe Schools

School is a child's workplace – an environment where students can spend up to eight hours a day, five days a week. Some schools serve as both workplaces and homes for students. As parents, teachers and administrators, we must ensure that these environments are as safe as possible. Todays' classrooms are filled with countless wireless devices, from laptops and tablets to smart boards and smart speakers, not to mention personal cell phones. All of these devices emit radiofrequency (RF) radiation, and the exposure is cumulative.

Recent U.S. government studies have confirmed what many other studies have shown: the decades-old theory that non-ionizing radiation is not harmful is false. Exposure to RF radiation, even at levels below government standards, is increasingly recognized as a public health problem, and the developing bodies of children are particularly vulnerable. Now the question for school administrators is, how can we create a safe learning environment for our students without impacting our technology-based curriculum? The TechSafeSchools program is designed to help you find answers: to provide you, your staff and your board with legal information, technical assistance and communications templates. Our goal is to help you create the safest environment possible. - what we call the "21st Century Resilient School." Please explore the materials contained in this website and let us know how we can help you.
